We're looking for a QA Leader who combines technical experience with a natural aptitude for team management. You'll be responsible for the quality of implemented projects, the development of automation processes and frameworks, and the substantive support of a four-person testing team.
This role is for someone who enjoys hands-on work, but also has the ability to set directions, develop others, and build QA standards from the ground up. Collaboration with international clients and the use of modern tools, including AI-based solutions, in daily QA work will also be a key element of the role.
Your daily duties:
- Manage and provide substantive support to a four-person testing team - planning work, setting goals, conducting code reviews, and supporting team development.
- Define, implement, and optimize testing processes and quality standards in custom projects.
- Create, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks based on Playwright.
- Use AI-powered tools, such as Codex, to create and maintain tests and streamline team workflows.
- Test APIs, verify data in SQL databases, and supervise test environments.
- Select QA tools and solutions appropriate to the project's specific needs and client requirements.
- Work closely with CTOs, developers, and Project Managers.
- Communicate directly with clients worldwide - establish requirements, discuss testing approaches, and report on quality.
- Participate in quotes, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Promote a Quality First approach and build a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Combine the leadership role with practical work - designing solutions, writing and developing tests, and supporting the team in solving technical problems.
Our expectations:
Technical requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in QA as a Lead, or at least 6 years of experience as a Senior QA, combined with formal or informal team leadership.
- Excellent working knowledge of Playwright and experience using it in commercial projects.
- Practical experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Ability to work with relational databases and familiarity with SQL.
- Experience with API testing - e.g., using Postman, REST Assured, or dedicated libraries.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM to create stable UI selectors.
- Knowledge of Docker and comfortable working with test environments.
- Excellent knowledge of GIT.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD processes.
Soft skills and other requirements:
- Natural leadership skills – the ability to motivate a team, build a positive atmosphere, provide constructive feedback, and share knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and a mature approach to client relationships.
Independence, proactivity, and a sense of responsibility for the final product quality. - Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for QA.
- English language skills at a minimum level of B2, allowing for fluent communication with clients and working with documentation.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment - at least two days per week in the Wrocław office.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in the iGaming industry - domain-specific knowledge will be a significant asset.
- Practical use of AI-powered tools in the testing process, such as GitHub Copilot and OpenAI Codex.
- ISTQB certification, particularly Advanced Level - Test Manager or Technical Test Analyst.
- Experience in performance or security testing.
