We're looking for a Product Owner who can align the client's business needs with the capabilities of the technology team. Someone who not only manages the backlog but, above all, understands why we're building a given product and how to deliver real value to the client.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the product vision and direction, prioritization, the roadmap, and daily collaboration with the client and team. A forward-looking perspective will also be crucial - identifying new needs and opportunities that could lead to product development, extensions, or upselling.
Experience in the iGaming industry and the ability to translate domain knowledge into concrete product decisions will be a plus.
Your daily duties:
- Responsible for the vision, strategy, and direction of product development, maximizing its business value.
- Manage the roadmap divided into NOW & NEXT, aligning current activities with the client's long-term goals.
- Prioritize the backlog based on business goals, OKRs, success metrics, and ROI, not solely on the number of completed tasks.
- Translate business goals and user needs into specific requirements for the team - User Stories, Epics, and tasks.
- Conduct Backlog Refinement and ensure the quality and transparency of the backlog in Jira.
- Manage changes in requirements, priorities, and project scope, analyzing their impact on the business, schedule, and team.
- Build relationships with the client and other stakeholders and ensure transparent communication and progress reporting.
- Identify and mitigate product and project risks.
- Actively seek new needs and opportunities for product development, supporting the extension and upselling of Blurify services.
- Support the pre-sales process by analyzing customer needs, defining product goals, preparing NOW/NEXT/LATER roadmaps, and supporting estimations and offer presentations in collaboration with the Tech Lead.
- Share product and domain knowledge with developers, designers, and other teams at Blurify.
- Develop iGaming knowledge, including market trends, retention mechanisms, regulations, compliance, and integration with gaming and payment providers.
Our expectations:
Technical requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager or similar product role in an IT environment.
- Excellent understanding of the client's business model and the ability to translate business goals into product decisions.
- Experience managing backlogs, roadmaps, scope, and priorities.
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, conducting refinements, and gathering requirements. - Excellent knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to create clear requirements and communicate them to the technical team.
- Experience collaborating directly with business clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage change and expectations in a dynamic project environment.
- Experience working with roadmaps and planning product development from a NOW/NEXT/LATER perspective.
- Ability to identify risks and make decisions based on data and business goals.
Soft skills and other requirements:
- Business sense - you can quickly understand what's important to the client and why.
- Assertiveness and negotiation skills - you can say "no" or clearly demonstrate the cost of changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills - you move freely between the worlds of business and technology.
- Independence, proactivity, and responsibility for your decisions.
- The ability to view a product from the perspective of both current needs and its long-term development.
- The ability to build relationships and trust with the client and the team.
Nice-to-haves:
- Practical knowledge of the iGaming industry.
- Knowledge of the specifics of the market, trends, retention mechanisms, compliance, and iGaming regulations.
