A Custom Back-Office for Maincard’s iGaming Ecosystem
Maincard helps businesses launch market-ready iGaming brands - including casinos, sportsbooks, lotteries, and sweepstakes - faster. With licensing, payments, infrastructure, and compliance already built in, the platform makes all the process much easier.
We partnered with Maincard to design and develop a dedicated back-office system that gives their team operational control over brands, casinos, players, content, payments, licences, and other key platform settings.
Our client’s goal was to gain operational control over a fast-launch white-label iGaming platform.
Maincard had already created a casino solution and a strong market promise: helping clients build an iGaming brand in 30 minutes.
What they needed next was a back-office system equipped with key operational features that could support day-to-day platform operations, reduce manual work, and make future scaling easier.
Our focus was to define and build key operational modules and integrate them with the existing casino frontend as quickly as possible.
We started with discovery workshops to understand Maincard’s business vision, operational needs, and key user groups.
During four workshop sessions, we mapped three key personas: the player, Maincard’s client, and the admin user responsible for managing the ecosystem behind the scenes.
Then we moved on to technical discussions and module prioritization. At the beginning, Maincard considered a broader redevelopment of the platform. However since the casino frontend was already being introduced to customers, we recommended a faster, more pragmatic approach: building a dedicated back-office and integrating it with the existing platform instead of rebuilding the entire product.
Together with Maincard, we prioritized the most critical modules: Player Account Management, CMS, admin operations, and reporting. Based on this, we first built three core modules from scratch.
An important part of the project was giving Maincard more autonomy. This allowed us to leverage our experience building modern iGaming platforms and introduce features that improve user experience and operational efficiency. We implemented feature flags, so selected functionalities can be enabled or disabled without a production release. We also added full audit logs to increase visibility over system actions and support a more secure, accountable operational environment.
To accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality, we used AI strategically in our workflow.
Rather than treating it as a shortcut, we applied it to specific, repeatable tasks: preparing feature documentation that compared ideas with iGaming industry standards, generating Jira task definitions with consistent structure and detail, and creating UI proposals based on the existing design system.
This meant we could move faster from discovery to development without cutting corners. The team could focus on strategic decisions - architecture, product direction, and validation with the client - while AI handled the documentation and specification work that typically creates bottlenecks.
