It’s time for a brief recap of 2020 at Studio Software! Although last year was very challenging for all of us, and the coronavirus pandemic has dramatically changed reality, we decided to focus on the positive things and see what happened at our company in 2020.

Many good things happened over the course of the past year, and we have some reasons to celebrate: interesting training sessions, awards, new projects, and ongoing development. These are only a few examples from our highlights list.

Undoubtedly, last year was very intense for us, and despite the “new normal,” we managed to grow successfully. Keep on reading to find out more.

Inspiring Training Sessions

At Studio Software, we focus on developing our knowledge and skills, and to achieve our goals, we take part in various training sessions. We regularly organize internal training where everyone can present a topic of their choice. It is a great opportunity to deepen our knowledge of both technical and business topics. What’s more, our team enjoys the idea of these meetings very much.

This year, most of the internal training covered broad programming topics. For example, our team had the opportunity to learn more about functional programming elements by using JavaScript and analyzing the code review process in detail.

The meetings were run by our specialists who had gathered wide experience in their chosen topic and were eager to share. We are very happy to see that we are slowly building a nice tradition of sharing knowledge internally!

In addition to internal events, we also participate in external training sessions. One of the particularly interesting meetings last year was a two-day workshop focused on Event Storming. We are constantly expanding our knowledge in this area.

Event Storming has become an essential part of our offer for clients and is, therefore, a priority. Over two intense days, event storming specialist Radek Maziarka shared the best practices in this technique, including the value-stream mapping method. The workshop was very intense but worth it! This latest knowledge and skills will allow us to advise our clients even better.

Birthday: Studio Software is Five Years Old!

It has been five years since we started developing dedicated IT solutions for our clients! Studio Software’s fifth birthday event in August was a great opportunity to celebrate with our team members, friends, and supporters. We organize a party for around 70 people in total.

If you are wondering how it all started and what the plans are for the future, you can read an interview with our founders Adam and Karol.

What does this history look like in numbers? Let’s see:

  • We have completed 45 projects so far.
  • We have significantly grown the team, having already 25+ people on board.
  • We recently won two awards for Best Web Developers.
  • The team consists of experts with over six years of experience on average.

Our birthday party was the perfect summary of the entire team’s successes and fruitful cooperation so far. It was organized in a unique place—The Warsztat Food & Garden in Wrocław—and brought many surprises, including a lottery with lots of attractive surprises.

A meeting after several months of remote work allowed us to integrate and have a good time together.

2020 = Award for Best Developers

2020 brought us a very nice surprise! We were recognized as one of the Best Software Developers in Poland by the prestigious website Clutch.co. This was our second award of 2020, which confirms the high quality of our services.

Clutch.co’s list of the best companies is based on positive reviews from clients, quality of services, and collected awards. We are very pleased with the award. If you are wondering about our clients’ reviews, see for yourself and visit our Clutch profile to check out our 100% positive feedback.

Expanding Our Team

We can’t achieve success without our amazing team. In 2020, we welcomed new people onboard, and we are still growing as the result of a newly acquired project. We are currently looking for a PHP Developer, Frontend Developer, and JavaScript Developer.

Want to kick-off a new year with a career change? Visit our career page and stay up to date with all open positions. Interesting projects, a wide range of benefits, and great workplace culture are waiting for our new team members.

The bigger team has also brought new challenges, particularly in 2020. The “new normal” caused by the global pandemic forced us to reorganize our work system, focusing on remote work instead of in-office work. Fortunately, we were able to adapt quickly to the new situation, and the entire team now works mainly remotely.

New Website and Fresh Content

We recently worked intensively on a completely new face for our website, and we managed to do it! We improved the layout, expanded our service section, and added many new case studies that perfectly sum up the scope of our work. Check out our website—you will surely find much news there.

We regularly publish fresh content on our blog, where you can read articles on both business and technical topics. Our content marketing efforts resulted in publishing more than 30 articles in 2020, and we plan to release more content in the coming year.

We also recently published an e-book that will introduce you to the world of cooperating with a software house. Our ebook covers the five most important steps to take before starting cooperation – you can download it for free.

This is not the end of our news. We constantly update and improve our website, so we still have some work to do. We will certainly share the results next year.

New Year, New Plans?

Our plans for the next year are no less ambitious. We’re focusing on acquiring new projects, growing our team, and continuously maintaining the highest quality for our services. We also want to create a unique workplace and invest in the people who make up Studio Software. Hopefully, 2021 will allow us to meet more often and integrate with our team!
